2. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead (also known
as The Walking Dead: The
Game)[8] is an episodic point-
and-click adventure role-playing
video game, based on Robert
Kirkman 's The Walking Dead
comic book series, for iOS , Mac
OS X , Microsoft Windows,
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The
game was developed by Telltale
Games .[9] The Walking Dead was
planned to be released in the
last months of 2011 [10] but due
to the production and
development of the project, the
game was held back to early
2012. The game consists of five
episodes, released between April
and November 2012. The iOS

followed shortly afterwards.
Telltale has also published retail
versions of the complete first
season.
The game takes place in the
same fictional setting as the
comic, with events occurring
during the same chronological
period shortly after the onset of
a zombie apocalypse in the
state of Georgia. Most of the
characters are new creations for
the game, centering on
university professor and
convicted killer Lee Everett who
helps to rescue and care for the
young girl Clementine as they
work with other survivors to
make their way to safety.
Kirkman provided oversight of
the game's story to assure it fit
well with the theme of the comic,
but allowed Telltale to handle
the bulk of the game
development and story writing.
Some characters from the
original comic book series make
appearances in-game, including
Hershel Greene and Glenn[11
